Skin Care Basics

Updated: Jul 24, 2018

Skin Care, one of the vital visual factors that must remain clean.

Let me begin by stating that I am not a saint. In fact, I get just as lazy as any other human being. Reality check, I'm not a beauty guru. Therefore, I am not physically flawless. I come with acne...

I've been through terrible hormonal acne. In order to learn the several types of acne there is, I HIGHLY recommend going to a dermatologist. Lord knows i need to go, here's a informational link.

With time I've learned how to work with my skin and wonderful acne. I will give you my tips on how to gain healthier skin before you know it. Friendly caution, EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT SKIN, not everything I will continue to list will work on you. These are the tips that worked for me and hopefully they will work for you.

Lifestyle changes

I know for a fact you just sighed at that very subtitle, I did too at some point. Sorry to burst your bubble but not every change will happen as quickly, and last as long. A lovely diet change, that includes consuming water in large portions, eating light foods, and exercising will show results.

Personally I only did the first two but I can guarantee that with an ultimate diet change you will most definitely see changes in your skin. It's been said that junk food causes the arrival of not only acne but shallow skin. The way junk food is processed leads to inflammatory chemicals being produced under your skin while you consume your greasy burger.

Not only that but the consumption of soda or other sugary juices will increase your chances for cavities, diabetes, high blood sugar, etc. So long story short drink some water, please.

Yes, good ole' ice will do the trick. If you have a annoying pimple that you may feel rising or notice, just put some ice on it. It's as simple as treating any other swollen part of your body. Get as many ice cubes as you want, put them in a Ziploc and place it onto the affected area for at least 15 minutes. Ice helps as a defamatory and also takes away some redness around an affected area. Results could be seen the next day.

Warning, if you have sensitive skin please be careful with this mask recipe. Besides the caution, this mask is the tastiest mask ever! It's a Cinnamon and Honey Mask, homemade of course. All you need is Cinnamon and Honey. Just simply grab a small bowl and apply about 1 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon and 1 tsp. of honey to make the paste. Of course put as much as you like suited to your preference. After you stir and create a paste like mixture, slap it on. Leave it on your face for an hour then exfoliate afterwards. After you've washed away the mask moisturize your skin with aloe gel or any other moisturizer you may own. Trust me your skin will feel soft and new again.

3. Purchased Products

Here I will list the few products that have worked for my skin (These may or may not work for you, I am not a dermatologist)

This peppermint soap showed fast results! I would definitely recommend using this product because it's not only natural but feels good on your skin too. This product cleared my skin fully within a week, meaning no pimples for a week!

I recently started using this product and in a matter of hours my skin felt softer, less irritated, and most importantly my acne eased away (including scarring too!).

I used this astringent as a toner after i washed my face and this has helped prevent more pimples from coming back to haunt me.
